Home Watch?
Home watch means regular scheduled visits to check your unattended property for visible signs or problems. We check inside and out for concerns such as water leaks, unusual temperatures, pests and unsecured doors or windows. We provide a detailed update following each visit. If something needs immediate attention, we contact you and help coordinate the next steps.
Insurance companies may require your home be checked every 48-72 hours. We tailor your visit schedule to what you desire.
Home checks include.
HOME EXTERIOR
Mail check and notice of important mail
Overall exterior condition check of the home.
Clear mailbox and front door of unwanted flyers and junk mail.
Verify yard and planting beds for litter or weed growth.
Monitor landscaping.
Conduct a visual inspection of siding, roof, and gutters for apparent issues.
Evaluate drainage systems for potential problems.
Inspect doors and windows for signs of break-ins.
Look for signs of vandalism on the property.
Ensure exterior lighting is in working order.
Verify the pool, hot tub and spa for noticeable issues.
HOME INTERIOR
Verify the security system is functioning properly.
Review temperature and humidity settings on thermostats.
Inspect for signs of vandalism inside the home.
Check for the presence of pests or insects.
Examine for potential water leaks.
Run water in sinks and baths; inspect under sinks for issues.
Flush stagnant water in toilets.
Activate the garbage disposal.
Check all appliances, including refrigerators and freezers.
Inspect windows and doors for proper functioning and security.
Ensure lights and fans are in working order.
Check the breaker box for any tripped circuits.
Examine the water heater and water system.
Inspect and replace air filters as needed.
Adjust timers on lights as necessary.
Alternate lights and window coverings to create a lived-in presence.
